Praise for Lili Bita

"Lili Bita transcends the individual woman . . . Life and myth are lived simultaneously."
Anais Nin

"A Bacchic celebration of life. . . . Lili Bita creates a space in which language gives body and life takes wing, a world whose powerful similes bring us back to a Kazantzakian Odyssey. Robert Zaller catches Bita's strengths in a fine-webbed colloquial English, transparent and glass-like, that gives her work freshness and light."
Kostas Myrsiades, Gold Medalist, Hellenic Society of Translators

“The fun of Women of Fire and Blood is far from Bacchanalian frivolity, but more like darkly ironic, wrathy grapes of comeuppance. Or, at least, cries of moral outrage by complex, shadowy damsels defending their reputations against a male determined posterity.”
William Burrison, in Greek-America Magazine

“Sister of Darkness is a fine piece of autobiographical writing that complements Bita’s poetry and fiction and enriches our contemporary feminist literature.”
Ekaterini Georgoudaki, Professor Emerita, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
